How I Went From Shame to Blessing During Abortion

Share

When I was in college, I met Glenn, and our study sessions turned into dates. But I was scared when I found out I was pregnant without being married. I knew my mother, Claudia, would find it hard to accept this because she raised me with strong morals.

As my signs of pregnancy got worse, I worried more about telling my mum. Even though I tried to hide it, she saw that I had changed. “Leave the church right away!” was her heartbreaking response. Get your things together and don’t come back!” But Pastor James stepped in and told her that our community loved and supported her when she was having a hard time.

Mom’s heart eased, and we both cried and hugged each other. She insisted on meeting Glenn and his family, which led to the shocking discovery that Glenn’s father was Pastor James. Our families got together because of this strange union.

Mama used to worry about my future, but now she crochets baby items and gives me ideas for names. Because of our love, she’s even thinking about going on a date again. I’ve learnt that gifts often come in strange forms, and the people you least expect to help you can end up being your biggest fans.

Glenn and I are making a home for ourselves, and we’re going to have a baby soon. There are hard times ahead, but our love and faith keep us strong. I’m thankful that Mama has grown and accepted me.

This trip has taught me important things, like how to be strong, forgive others, and believe in the power of love. I’m excited about my new road because I know that unexpected turns can lead to good results.
