Find Out What Deceit Did: A Story of Betrayal and Forgiveness

When I found a picture of my husband, Edward, kissing another woman at an art show in New York, my whole world turned upside down. At first, I thought he was cheating on me, but it turned out to be something much worse.

Edward and I fell in love quickly and quickly got married after meeting by chance in Amsterdam. We had a small wedding because Edward’s past was filled with loss and rejection. I didn’t think anything was wrong when he showed me a picture of his “cousin” Kelly.

We stopped getting along after we moved to New York. Edward grew detached, coming home late from work and not wanting to talk to anyone. When I told my friend Anna about it, she said he might be having a hard time with the thought of becoming a dad. But I knew something wasn’t right.

Everything changed after the picture show. When I saw Edward hug Kelly, my whole world fell apart. When I confronted him, he admitted that he had been cheating on me and told me that Kelly was his girlfriend, not his cousin. They got back together, and he lied to both of us about it.

Kelly didn’t know that Edward was married because she thought he had moved for work. She was going to marry him and join his fake business in another country. Kelly and I worked together to teach Edward a hard lesson. We got a divorce and I kicked him out of the house. I then watched as Kelly dumped him and called the cops.

The lie that Edward told had caught up with him. The time for his karma had finally come. This taught me to be careful when picking a partner and to spot the telltale signs of lying. No one deserves to be lied to, and I promised myself I would be smarter and stronger next time.
