A former swimmer at the University of Kentucky and rising conservative voice named Riley Gaines “Woman of the Year,” beating out soccer star Megan Rapinoe in a shocking win.
This prestigious award, which was chosen by all nine judges unanimously, recognizes Gaines’ outstanding achievements to women’s rights, academic excellence, and community service. A lot of people are interested in her conservative ideas and the causes she supports.
Gaines’s academic and sports success made it possible for him to get this honor. She won three conference titles and set two Southeastern Conference records. She was also named to the All-America team 12 times. She graduated with honors in human health studies and advocacy, and her hard work went beyond the pool.
