A chance meeting, a second chance

Mark was homeless and had gotten used to not being seen on the busy city streets. As he tried to hold on to memories of his old life, people rushed by and avoided eye contact.

Mark saw something upsetting one day: a rich guy yelling at an old woman over a small car accident. Mark felt something when he saw how mean the man was and how the crowd did nothing. He stepped forward and told her to be polite.

Mark stood his ground when David, a rich man, made fun of how he looked. Fate stepped in the next day, and David found himself pleading for forgiveness.

The old woman David had offended was Mrs. Sanders, who was David’s boss. She told her son about David’s bad behaviour and told him he would lose his job if he didn’t change.

David was begging Mark to forgive him when Mrs. Sanders showed up. Mark agreed after he thought about it for a moment after she asked him to forgive David.

What Mrs. Sanders said next, though, changed everything. She gave Mark a job at her company, which was a fresh start. Mark agreed, and after two months, he was loving his new job.

Mark felt hopeful in a way he hadn’t felt in years as he looked out the window of his office. The meeting changed things and reminded them that being kind and honest can lead to a better future.

Mark understood that forgiving wasn’t just about David; it was also about getting rid of the anger that was holding him back. He was thankful that Mrs. Sanders was nice to him and had faith in him.

With his head held high, Mark walked through a city where he had once felt like no one could see him. He knew that the chance meeting was his second chance, and he was going to make the most of it.

Mark was happy with his new life, but he knew he would never forget the lesson he had learned that day: that second chances are for everyone and forgiveness can change lives.
