Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson were briefly married, but did they have any children together during their relationship?
Lisa Marie Presley’s second husband was Michael Jackson. Their romance didn’t start until 1992, when they were introduced at a dinner party hosted by a mutual friend in Los Angeles. However, they had first met years earlier at a concert in Las Vegas in the 1970s.
At the time of their reintroduction, Lisa Marie was married to her first husband, Danny Keough. Although she and Michael became friends, they didn’t begin dating immediately. In 1993, after Presley supported Jackson during a difficult period of investigation, he proposed to her over the phone.
Michael and Lisa Marie wed in a brief 15-minute ceremony in the Dominican Republic. She later confirmed their marriage in a public statement.
The couple made several public appearances together, the most famous being in September 1994 at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Jackson famously kissed Presley on stage, saying, “Just think, nobody thought this would last.”
Despite their public displays of affection, rumors soon spread that their marriage was in trouble and that they weren’t spending much time together. The couple also expressed a desire to start a family.
However, rumors about Jackson’s drug addiction contributed to the strain on their marriage. Lisa Marie filed for divorce in December 1995, and their marriage officially ended in August 1996.
Lisa Marie and Michael did not have any children together. However, Presley had four children from her other marriages: Riley and Ben with Danny Keough, and twins Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann with Michael Lockwood.
