Jay Leno, a performer who is 74 years old and used to host The Tonight Show, is about to disappear from public view. Leno is known for his love of cars, and he is now planning for the future by giving a very important gift to a car museum.

After having a great career on TV, Leno moved to the web with Jay Leno’s Garage (2015–2022), a show where he talked about his love of cars. More than 3.7 million people subscribed to the show on YouTube, which means that car fans really liked it.

But by late 2022, Leno was having serious health problems. After getting badly burned in a garage fire, he was in a motorbike accident that left him with many injuries.

Leno is still a loyal husband to his wife Mavis, who is suffering from dementia, despite these problems. Because she is “declining in health and mental capacity,” a judge in Los Angeles recently gave him control over her inheritance. Mavis is slowly losing consciousness, according to her doctor, but Leno keeps loving and caring for her all the time.

Leno has chosen to leave his $52 million car collection to a museum through his non-profit organisation, the JDM Foundation. This is part of his plan for his own legacy. Besides that, he will give his nephew and Mavis’s brother $7 million.

Even though Leno is getting ready for a quieter future, his legacy as a comic and a die-hard car fan will last for generations.
