In 1972, Bob Barker’s iconic career as the host of The Price is Right catapulted him to superstardom. But his journey began long before, growing up on a Sioux reservation in South Dakota and serving in the Navy Reserve during World War II.

Barker’s love story with his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Jo Gideon, spanned 36 years until her passing in 1981. He credits her with instilling the confidence to pursue his dreams. Today, he celebrates a century of life with his partner of 40 years, Nancy Burnet.

Despite health challenges, Barker remains in good spirits and health, thanks to his minimal use of medication and a vegetarian lifestyle. His legacy extends far beyond the game show, as a passionate advocate for animal welfare and rights.

Inspired by his late wife, Barker has dedicated millions to his DJ&T Foundation, establishing animal-rights curricula at top law schools. His impact on the world is immeasurable, and we’re grateful for his century of love, laughter, and legacy.
