Shaq hits Minnesota Governor Tim Walz with a slam dunk.

Shaquille O’Neal, the famous NBA player, kicked Tim Walz, the Democratic candidate for vice president and governor of Minnesota, out of his Atlanta restaurant, Big Chicken. People who were there said it was like a mix between a reality TV show and a political roast.

Walz went to Big Chicken to grab a quick meal after advertising. He did get more than just fried chicken, though. Shaq, who is known for being honest, said that Walz’s political record was upsetting and that he couldn’t bring his family together.

According to people who were there, Walz met Shaq with a generic compliment that didn’t work. Shaq said, “I don’t love disappointment, and right now, you’re the face of it.” He then told Walz how bad his record was and how he had “stolen valor” claims.

As the fight got worse, Shaq told Walz, “Don’t come back here until you fix yourself.” I don’t serve feeling let down. “Not at my house.” Walz quickly left, looking like he was scared.

People who were there said it was “awkward” and “wild.” Walz’s campaign team played down the event, calling it a “unfortunate misunderstanding.” But #ShaqSlammedWalz memes and hashtags took over social media in a big way.

People are talking about Shaq’s actions: Is he now the guardian of American honor? Because Shaq is honest, he is not a good indicator of popular opinion in this time of close scrutiny.

“This isn’t about politics; it’s about being real,” Shaq said in a follow-up conversation. To be respected by me, you must do good things for other people.

It’s still not clear how the event will affect Walz’s bid for vice president. It’s clear that Tim Walz has been served, both physically and figuratively. Shaq is now the most popular person at the dinner table as well as on the basketball court.

One customer said, “You can’t just walk into Shaq’s house and expect to get away with something.” Bring your best, or you’ll be sent home without chicken.
