The name “Six” hails from her days as a hockey player, where she played in position six. The nickname stuck, even as she transitioned into acting. Nyamane’s acting career began unexpectedly during her first year at the University of South Africa (Unisa).
Initially studying finance, she found herself drawn to acting after a chance encounter at the gym. Encouraged by a stranger’s comment about her “face for television,” she began attending auditions and quickly landed her first role.
Raised in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, Nyamane moved to Johannesburg with dreams of pursuing a career, though her family preferred she follow a more traditional academic path.
