Getting love after losing everything

A rich businessman named Steve Walton kicked his daughter Susan out of the family 15 years ago when she decided to marry a poor man. He never forgot how she disobeyed him.

Pastor Morris told Steve that Susan was living on the streets with her four kids after her husband died. This made Steve’s whole world spin.

While Steve and Pastor Morris were in the parking lot, Steve saw Susan and her kids living in a pickup truck. Steve felt a range of feelings.

He saw his daughter, who was tired and afraid but still full of love for her kids. He saw his grandkids, who were happy and full of life despite what was going on.

Sue’s words really hurt Steve: “He loved me, daddy, and he gave me four beautiful children…” “Daddy, I will always love the father of my children as much as I love you.”

Steve found out too late that his pride and anger had cost him a lot. He badly hurt his daughter and lost her trust, but he was determined to fix things.

Steve was sure that everything would be okay as he held his crying daughter and met his grandkids. Susan showed him his three nieces and his grandson Stevie, who was named after him. Steve felt moved to tears and thankful for a second chance to be a dad and granddad.

They all flew back to Texas that afternoon, beginning a new part of their lives. Steve learnt that family is more important than money or things, and that love and forgiveness can heal even the deepest scars.
