Take a glance at any entertainment section today, and you’re almost certain to find something about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. The power couple has been the center of attention recently, with endless rumors suggesting their marriage is in trouble.

Just last week, various reports emerged, mostly casting a shadow on Affleck and Lopez’s relationship. There have been claims that Affleck has left their shared home, and anonymous sources have offered mixed opinions on the situation.

But on Friday, a significant update surfaced: Jennifer Lopez announced she was canceling her upcoming US tour, “This Is Me… Now,” to spend more time with her family.

Lopez addressed her fans directly on her website, sharing her difficult decision.

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” she wrote. “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”

There has been talk about low ticket sales being the real reason for the cancellation, but a source told the Daily Mail that this was not the case.

Regardless, the news fueled speculation that Lopez and Affleck’s marriage is in jeopardy. Some saw the tour cancellation as a sign that their relationship is on the brink of divorce, and that Lopez isn’t in the right frame of mind to perform.

Over the weekend, Affleck and Lopez were seen together at a basketball game where Affleck’s son was playing. They were photographed smiling and greeting each other outside a YMCA, but reportedly showed little public affection.

The occasion seemed perfect to counter the rumors, but the couple didn’t kiss when they met up and were later seen walking side by side without holding hands.

Just last month, a source reportedly told Page Six that Affleck had reconsidered his marriage to Lopez.

“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the insider said. “He feels like the last two years were just a fever dream and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”

As of now, neither Affleck nor Lopez has made any official statements—understandable, given that much of what’s out there is mere gossip. But this story has had many twists and turns, so don’t be surprised if new developments arise soon.
