My fiancé locked up my daughter so she couldn’t come to our wedding. I heard about it and made a plan.

When I met Emily, it had been three years since I lost my wife Karen. I thought I was happy again after she came into my life. But as I tried to introduce her to my daughter Amy, I knew it wouldn’t be easy to combine families.

Emily and Amy became closer, so I asked her to marry me, and the wedding planning began. But things got worse when Emily suggested that her cousin instead of Amy be the flower girl. It was clear to me that Amy would have her time.

Amy, who was worried about her mom’s memory, felt better the night before the wedding. But the next day, I found out that Emily’s girls were planning to keep Amy from the ceremony. I got angry and talked to Emily about it.

The wedding didn’t happen. I couldn’t get married to someone who would hurt my kid. The next day, Amy asked herself if her choice not to marry Emily was the right one. I told Emily that what she did showed she didn’t want to accept our family the way it was.

When Amy said yes, I knew I had made the right choice. I knew then that my love for my baby was the most important thing. I would always put her happiness and health first, even if it meant giving up mine.

I knew I had done the right thing by Amy when I looked at her. That’s all that really counted in the end.
