A mounted police officer stopped a little girl riding her new bicycle. “That’s a great bike,” he said. “Did Santa bring it?”
The girl nodded proudly. “Yes!”
The officer smiled. “Next time, ask him to add a reflector.” He then gave her a small ticket.
The girl examined the fine, then looked at the officer’s horse. “Your horse is beautiful,” she said sweetly. “Did Santa give him to you?”
The officer laughed. “He did!”
The girl smiled back. “Then next Christmas, tell him the idiot belongs under the horse, not on it.”
