“Pigeon Gate: Madrid Restaurant Scandal Exposes Shocking Food Substitution”

A Madrid restaurant’s popular roast duck dish has been revealed to contain a much less appetizing ingredient – common city pigeons. Jin Gu, a Chinese restaurant in the Usera district, was abruptly closed after health inspectors discovered the shocking substitution during a routine check.

The investigation uncovered numerous health violations including a cockroach-infested kitchen, improperly stored meats, and a concealed room packed with spoiled food. Most disturbing was the evidence suggesting the restaurant had been capturing, killing and preparing pigeons from the surrounding streets to serve as duck.

Neighbors reported long-standing suspicions about the establishment’s practices. “We’ve complained about the smells for months,” said one local resident. “You could tell something wasn’t right.” Despite these concerns, the restaurant maintained positive online reviews until the inspection exposed its dangerous practices.

Authorities have launched a criminal investigation into the restaurant’s operations, with the owner facing potential charges ranging from fraud to animal cruelty. The scandal has left the local community questioning how such violations could occur in plain sight.
