Questions abound after the shocking death of adult film actress Anna Polly during what was supposed to be a routine work session. The Brazilian performer, legally named Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves, fell to her death from a Rio de Janeiro hotel balcony on January 23 while allegedly engaged in an explicit scene with two male counterparts.
Police discovered the 27-year-old’s body in the hotel courtyard, with leaked images showing authorities at the grim scene where a bloodied sheet covered the victim. The two men involved in the production have provided inconsistent versions of events to investigators but were released without charges as the inquiry continues.
The Baixada Fluminense Homicide Unit is pursuing multiple investigative avenues, including reviewing surveillance footage and witness testimonies. “We’re examining all possibilities in this complex case,” a department spokesperson commented. Forensic analysis through autopsy will help determine whether Anna’s death resulted from accident or foul play.
Anna’s partner Pedro Henrique, who wasn’t present during the filming, expressed his devastation online: “The pain of losing you grows more unbearable each day.” A mourning friend added, “Anna was full of dreams and working hard to grow her brand. We’re all struggling to accept she’s gone.”
