When people think of family businesses, adult entertainment probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But for Seka Black and her daughter Nessi, the industry has become a shared career path—one where they support each other in unique ways.
Seka Black, 70, first rose to fame in the 1980s as the “Platinum Princess of Porn.” Her striking looks and confidence made her one of the biggest names in the industry. In her 2013 autobiography, Inside Seka, she reflected on her journey and the impact of her career.

Raised in a quiet household with her siblings, Seka described her childhood as normal. When her family moved to Hopewell, Virginia, she became known as “Dottie.” Her natural beauty and charm led her to win the Miss Southside Virginia pageant in high school, an early sign that she was destined for the spotlight.
Seka later transitioned into adult entertainment after leaving an accounting job. “I retired from accounting, and now we’re just enjoying life,” she said.
Her daughter Nessi had a different path. She first learned about her mother’s career while scrolling through her mom’s phone during a family trip to Disneyland.
“At first, I couldn’t believe it,” Nessi said. “But then I thought, this is actually really interesting.”
Nessi had always been curious about the industry but waited until she was 18 to explore adult camming. By the time she turned 20, she had fully committed to content creation.

Now, both mother and daughter produce content, primarily on OnlyFans. Seka has also returned to performing in major adult films. Though they don’t work together on camera, they support each other in different ways.
Seka’s husband—who is also Nessi’s father—plays a key role by filming and editing videos.
“We have fun working together because Daddy does all the filming and editing,” Seka joked.
Their generational differences bring unique strengths to their work. Seka provides financial and business advice, while Nessi helps her mother navigate the digital side of the industry.
“I remember when we were trying to give you advice,” Seka told her daughter. “Now, younger people are teaching us.”
Nessi decided to join the industry after realizing she wasn’t happy with her job. At first, she was hesitant, but her mother encouraged her to go for it.
Unlike many parents, Seka and her husband had no issues with their daughter’s decision to join OnlyFans. However, working in the adult industry still has its awkward moments. Nessi admitted that it can be strange when her mother’s followers contact her online.
Meanwhile, Seka’s career continues to thrive. She was recently nominated for an AVN Award, often called the “Oscars of porn.” While she didn’t win, she made a statement in a stunning red gown at the event.
When asked about retirement, Seka said she isn’t ready to leave the industry just yet. “I just go with the flow,” she said. “Maybe another five years.”
