A fed-up wife had reached her breaking point. She penned a note to her husband, declaring, “I’ve had enough of you, and I’m leaving.” But instead of actually leaving, she decided to hide under the bed to see how he would react.
As she waited, she heard her husband come home and head to the kitchen before entering the bedroom. She watched as he retrieved the note from the drawer and paused for a moment. Then, to her surprise, he picked up the phone and dialed a number.
His conversation on the phone was shocking. “She’s finally gone,” he said, followed by instructions for someone to put on a sultry French nightgown. He ended the call with a flirtatious “I adore you” and a promise to do “anything” asked of him.
The wife’s anger turned to rage as she listened to her husband’s conversation. She remained hidden under the bed, seething with anger, as he grabbed his keys and left the house.
But as she waited for what felt like an eternity, she heard the sound of the car driving away. It was then that she mustered the courage to crawl out from under the bed and retrieve the note her husband had written on.
As she read his scribbled message, her anger turned to amusement. “Your shoes are visible,” he had written. “We’ll be back in five minutes; we’re out of bread.” The wife couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.
