A chance meeting, a lifetime of happiness

As a single mom, I thought my daughter Emma and I were ready to handle life on our own. But fate had other ideas. While walking my dog Max one winter evening, I came across Willow and Isabelle, twin girls, who had been left alone in the woods.

Their story was a lot like ours: their mother left them and they were fighting to stay alive. I took them in and made them feel safe and warm. The next morning, I found out that they had brought Emma’s life back to life after cancer had destroyed it.

The twins’ kind deed set off a chain of events. They brought Emma back to life, which reminded me that being kind can change people’s lives. I chose to adopt them, which made our family bigger.

Their appearance brought back the wonder of youth, and our house was filled with laughing. They put on their biggest show on Christmas Eve, and Emma, who was now a queen, was delighted.

I learnt from this chance meeting that hope and joy can come out of darkness. It takes strangers becoming family sometimes to find the magic in life again.
