A cruel landlord named Mr Bryant stole Suzana’s Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. She is a single mum. But she turned her sadness into a lesson in fate that she would never forget.
Mr. Bryant said the tree was a fire risk, but Suzana thought he was just being jealous. Ethan and Jake, her boys, cried themselves to sleep. Suzana asked her friend Jessie for help so they could get back their vacation.
They got their hand-made gifts at night and left a note that said “PROPERTY OF SUZANA, ETHAN, AND JAKE!” in silver duct tape and glitter.
The next morning, Mr. Bryant’s anger was met with contempt from his neighbours. Mrs. Adams spoke to him about it, and pictures of it on the internet made him look bad.
By the time it got dark, Mr. Bryant gave the tree back, shoes covered in glitter and all. Because Suzana was so kind, her neighbours came together and gave her two new trees and gifts.
Jake and Ethan’s smiles came back, and their home was full of love and fun. Mr. Bryant learnt an important lesson: bad luck keeps coming back to haunt you.
Suzana’s plan to get back at someone for Christmas turned into a touching story about community and motherly love.
