After his father had a stroke, his family moved to Hong Kong and then Plymouth.

Curry was good at singing and acting early on. He started singing in church at age six and playing in Shakespeare plays.

Curry worked in TV, films and plays after learning acting at Birmingham University.

After he had a stroke in 2012, which his family kept secret, his life changed in a big way.

After that, Curry went to physical and speech therapy, and he found that humour helped him get better.

Curry, who is now 78 years old, is still getting treatment and staying busy. He likes to read, paint, and grow.

He goes to events and personal signings, and his strength inspires fans.
