A mother has the right to be alone to nurse

It is normal and important for mothers to breastfeed their babies, and it helps them form a close bond with their babies. This is a time to meet and be close, so don’t feel bad about it. But some people still think it’s rude to breastfeed in public, and mothers often get weird looks or comments from strangers.

Melanie Dudley, a mum from Texas, went through this herself in 2018. Melanie made her three-month-old baby cry for food while she and her family were on vacation in Cabo San Lucas. She started nursing her son right away in a restaurant. Even though her family and friends were there for her, a stranger at a table next to her didn’t like that Melanie was feeding her baby without a cover.

The event shows that breastfeeding in public still has a bad reputation. Melanie is one of many moms who choose to nurse in private, but sometimes things just don’t allow it. Melanie was sitting in the back of the restaurant, and her main goal was to feed her baby, who was hungry. Melanie had every right to nurse her child in peace, and the stranger’s request that she cover herself was both rude and unnecessary.
