Being a parent is a life-changing event that makes a permanent mark on the parents. Being a parent is the best feeling in the world, but it also comes with a huge amount of duty. But for Becki Allen, this was about to take a turn she didn’t expect.
When Becki and her family found out they were going to have another child, they were very happy. Their daughter Indiana was going to have a brother or sister, and they couldn’t wait to meet the new child. But they didn’t know what was coming that would make their lives different for good.
Becki had terrible headaches while she was pregnant, which made her doctors decide to do an ultrasound. The Allen family got the shocking news that they were going to have triplets during this regular checkup. Not just triplets, but identical triplets, which doesn’t happen very often—1 in 200 million births.
Brooke and her family were shocked by the news. They had never thought they would have twins, and the thought of taking care of three babies at once scared them. But as they started to get ready for their triplets to come, they couldn’t help but feel happy and excited.
Also known as the “Tripple R,” Roman, Rocco, and Rohan were born through a Caesarean section when they were only 31 weeks old. The triplets were in special care for their first few weeks, when they weighed only three to five pounds. Even though there were some problems at birth, the triplets grew and developed properly, which made their family very happy.
Along with their growth, the triplets’ unique characters began to show. Roman, Rocco, and Rohan all looked the same, but they were different in ways that made them stand out. She joked that they only looked alike when they were asleep.
Taking care of triplets is very hard, and Becki’s family has had to get used to the new situation. The family has had to make big changes to their budget because they spend $150 a week on nappies alone. But no matter how hard things were, they wouldn’t trade their life with the triplets for anything.
Indiana is the big sister, and she loves taking care of her three younger boys as her new job. Thank you to everyone who has loved and helped the family. Roman, Rocco, and Rohan are truly blessed to have you in their lives.
The Allen family’s story shows how strong love and determination can be. They have accepted their new world with open arms, even though their lives took an unexpected turn. But even though having triplets is hard, they are thankful for the gift of life and the love that holds their family together.
