The Trouble of Being a Single Mom and the Niceness of a Stranger

Jen’s husband Adam broke up with her when he learnt she was expecting their fourth child. Jen’s life was turned upside down by this. Adam wasn’t giving Jennifer any money, so she had to get a job to take care of her kids. A single mother with four young children, on the other hand, had a hard time finding work because many companies didn’t want to hire her.

In the end, Jennifer got a job as a cleaner at a hotel in a nearby city because she didn’t give up when things went wrong. Jennifer knew she needed a car to make the daily trip to work because it cost a lot to get there. Jen was upset that she didn’t have enough cash for a down payment.

At that time, she met Jeff, who owned a used car lot. Jennifer bought a car from Jeff for $5,000, which is a lot less than what the car was worth on the market. Jennifer told Jeff what was going on. Jennifer was glad, but she still had to pay the price.

Jennifer had to pawn her late mother’s gold chain necklace, which had been passed down through the generations and was a family heirloom. The jewellery was worth $5,500, which was enough to buy the car and still have money left over for her family to live on.

Jeff let Jenn borrow his car and gave her the keys. He also told her to check the trunk when she got home. Jennifer didn’t check the trunk until she found a note in the glove box that reminded her to do so. When she opened the trunk and found a surprise, her life would never be the same again.

In the trunk was the same package Jennifer used to pay for the car. It had $5,000 in it. Jen began to cry when she learnt that Jeff had given her the car for free. As she drove back to the shop, tears were running down her face as she thanked Jeff for being nice.

Jeff’s answer showed that he was humble and positive. “Life gives you problems; you either solve them or give up.” You’re strong for your kids, and I thought you needed the money more than I did. Thanks for that. Don’t forget to help others.
