As the brave mother of my daughter Emma, I’ve learnt that being kind can lead to miracles you didn’t expect. I brought two abandoned twins home after finding them in the woods. Their presence changed our lives.
Even though Emma had been sick with cancer, being with the twins brought her joy and happiness. Their own problems aside, they brought happiness to our home without expecting anything in return. I chose to adopt them, and now we have more children.
Willow and Isabelle, the twins, had been living in a shed near the woods. They had the same big eyes and long dark hair. Max, my loving Labrador, found them, and I knew I had to do something to help.
As I got to know them better, I saw that they were close to Emma. They would make her laugh and have fun by telling her stories, playing games, and planning shows. I was amazed as they gave Emma the gift of happiness, even when things were bad.
Being there with them reminded me that love and kindness can get through anything. The power of kindness and the magic that can happen when we open our hearts to others is shown by our family today.
