Donna had always been driven by her need for money and fame. Gwen was her cousin and had had every advantage possible as a child. Donna had always felt like she was living in Gwen’s shade.
But when Brian, Gwen’s childhood sweetheart, came back from studying abroad, Donna saw a chance to make things better for herself. As she went after Brian, she used all of her skills to control him and make him turn against Gwen.
Even though Gwen told him not to, Brian fell for Donna’s charms. He asked her to marry him, and they started making plans for a big, fancy wedding. Even though Gwen was grieving, she tried to be there for her family.
As the big day got closer, Donna’s true self started to show. She only cared about Brian because of his money and power, and she was selfish and cunning.
Brian had something else planned for Donna, though. There was a terrible mistake he had made the morning of the wedding. He loved Gwen more than Donna.
Brian came up with a plan with Gwen’s help to show Donna’s true nature and get away from the wedding. They changed the ritual so that Gwen would stand in for Donna at the altar.
