A blonde who was upset called her boyfriend and asked for help with a jigsaw project that wouldn’t go together. Her words, “I’m stuck,” were true. “I don’t know where to begin.”
Her boyfriend became interested. “What’s the puzzle supposed to be when it’s finished?” he asked me.
“It looks like a rooster from the box,” she said.
The boyfriend was interested and chose to help. When he got there, he looked at the puzzle parts that were all over the table. He found it funny when he looked closer.
He smiled and said, “Darling, these pieces will never come together to make a rooster, no matter how hard we try.”
He stopped and looked more closely at the pieces. His face went from being confused to realizing what was going on.
“In fact, I believe we can make this easier. “Let’s have a cup of tea and put these Corn Flakes back in the box.”
The boyfriend’s smart comment turned the frustrating puzzle session into a funny moment. It reminded us that sometimes the best way to solve a problem is to see it for what it is.
