Richard Gere’s New Life: He’s Selling His Connecticut Home and Moving to Spain

A famous American star named Richard Gere has sold his beautiful Connecticut home for a huge $10.95 million, according to PEOPLE. He is getting ready to move to Spain with his wife, Alejandra Silva. This is the start of an exciting new chapter in his life.

Gere bought his New Canaan home for $10.8 million in 2022. It has six bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, a pool, beautiful grounds, and a three-bedroom guest cottage spread out over 32 acres.

The house was built in 1938 and was once owned by singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Edie Brickell.

Following two years of living in the house with his wife, Gere has chosen to leave and begin anew in Spain. They want to be closer to Silva’s family and roots now that they are married.

This is Gere’s third marriage, and he’s excited to give his wife the chance to get back in touch with her family and culture.

Vanity Fair Spain talked to Gere about how excited he was for this “great adventure” and how he wanted to give his wife the gift of time with her family and friends in Spain. Their young boys, Alexander and James, will also be closer to their mother’s side of the family.

It looks like Gere’s family will now include people from two countries.

Fans can’t wait for the next part of Richard Gere’s life, both personally and professionally, as he starts this exciting trip. With a long and successful career and a fresh desire to try new things, Gere’s move to Spain should bring him new experiences and chances.
