Annie Windley, a 21-year-old from Derbyshire, has bravely shared her story of triumph over anorexia, hoping to inspire others battling eating disorders.

Annie’s journey was marked by hospitalizations, therapy, and intensive care, but she found solace in running, which became her catalyst for recovery.

At her lowest point, Annie weighed just 29kg, putting her at risk of a heart attack. However, with determination and a newfound appreciation for life, she began her journey towards recovery in 2017.

Annie realized that her worth wasn’t defined by her weight, but by her kindness, relationships, and bravery.

Through running, Annie found a sense of purpose and celebration of her body’s capabilities. She completed the Chesterfield Half Marathon, a testament to her strength and resilience.
