When you start the day with a simple job, do you ever find yourself hours later wondering what happened to your plan? You’re not by yourself.
Age-Activated Attention Deficit Disorder (A.A.A.D.D.) is a funny take on the fact that as we age, we tend to get distracted. This is how it shows up:
You choose to wash your car, but as you walk to the garage, you see the mail. After going through it, you realize that you need to take out the trash. After that, you choose to pay the bills. But first, you’ll get a check from your boss.
You see a nearly empty Coke can while looking for the check. It will stay cold in the fridge. As you walk by the kitchen bar, you see flowers that need water.
As you put down the Coke and fill up a bottle with water, you look up and see the TV remote. It will go back in the den, but first you need to water those flowers.
The day is gone before you know it. The bills are still not paid, the car is still dirty, and the flowers are still thirsty.
Sense a pattern? Don’t worry, it’s just A.A.A.D.D.
This funny look at getting older and being distracted makes us laugh at our own quirks. Feel free to send this story to family and friends, but make sure you remember who you sent it to!
We all know that smiling is good for us, especially when we laugh at ourselves.
