People magazine reports that famous American star Richard Gere has sold his beautiful Connecticut home for a huge $10.95 million. As a way to be closer to his wife’s family, Gere wants to move to Spain, and this sale is a big step toward that goal.
The musical duo Paul Simon and Edie Brickell had bought the New Canaan house for $16.5 million, and Gere bought it from them in 2022 for $10.8 million. During his two-year stay, Gere thought about turning the house into a farm.
The beautiful home from 1938 has six bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, a pool, lush gardens, and a guest cottage with three beds. It is set on 32 acres of beautiful land. Gere and his 41-year-old wife Alejandra Silva, whom he married in 2018, split the estate.
Gere is moving to Spain because he wants to get back in touch with his wife’s family history. The actor’s life is about to change because of this move, which puts family first. Fans will definitely be interested in Gere as she starts this exciting trip.
With this sale, Gere ends a part of his life in the US, where he and Silva have lived since they got married. As he starts over in Spain, friends wish the actor and his family the best in everything they do from now on.
