It’s been six years since Michael Strahan abruptly quit “Live With Kelly and Michael.” He has finally told the truth about his messy exit and how his relationship with co-host Kelly Ripa became so bad.

They moved Strahan to “Good Morning America” out of the blue in 2016, which caught Ripa off guard. She quit the show for a week. When Ripa got back to work, she talked about the situation in a general way, stressing how important it is to communicate, show care, and respect at work.

But Strahan’s latest interview with Time shows that he and Ripa never became friends again.

Together with Ryan Seacrest, Ripa hosts “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” while Strahan co-hosts “Good Morning America” with Sara Haines. When Strahan thought back on his time on “Live,” he hinted at problems behind the scenes that were out of his hands.

In a previous interview with Deadline, Strahan stressed that he stayed true to himself throughout his career and didn’t change how he felt to please other people. “When it was time to go, it was time to go,” he said.

Fans have been very interested in the fight between Strahan and Ripa. Even though both hosts have moved on to great projects, you can still feel the tension between them.

People are once again interested in how “Live With Kelly and Michael” works because Strahan told the truth. As things change in the morning show business, one thing is certain: Strahan’s exit will never be forgotten.
