Thoughts on Joe “Jellybean” Bryant

Share

This is another terrible loss for the Bryant family.

The news was revealed by La Salle University’s athletics department, which cited coach Fran Dunphy. Joe had a stroke not long ago, but the exact reason of his death has not been confirmed yet.

For La Salle University, he was a “beloved member of the Explorer family.” The 76ers gave him an award for being a “local basketball icon.”

Joe died four years after his son Kobe and granddaughter Gianna died in a terrible helicopter crash.

Vanessa Bryant told everyone she was sorry for the death, “Kobe loved him very much.” An old friend named Doug Young said that Joe was a great example to follow.

Arn Tellem, who used to work as Kobe’s agent, was saddened by Joe’s death and happy to remember their friendship.

People who play basketball get together to remember Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, who was a real Philly basketball star.

May he rest in peace. Feel free to share this honor with your Facebook friends and family.
