The people of Ogden Canyon, Utah, are still reeling from the terrible accident that happened there. Richard David Hendrickson, the CEO and president of Lifetime Products and the father of 16-year-old Sally, died in a terrible accident involving a bulldozer.

The terrible accident happened on Highway 39 on July 6, when a tow truck carrying a small bulldozer hit the GMC pickup belonging to the Hendrickson family. Richard and Sally were killed when the bulldozer that was loose crushed their car. Two other adult guests were lucky to be alive with only minor injuries.

People in the community will always remember Richard’s amazing impact. From his humble beginnings as a welder to becoming the head of Lifetime Products, his great leadership and vision motivated a huge number of people. Barry Mower, who started the company, knew Richard well and trusted him as a friend.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox added his sentiments and praised Richard’s great leadership and friendship. The terrible accident has sparked a serious debate about Highway 39’s safety, leading to a petition calling for tighter rules on big trucks using the dangerous two-lane road.

The community has come together to support the Hendrickson family. More than 1,700 people have signed a petition for stricter safety steps to stop similar tragedies from happening again. This united front shows that the city is always committed to keeping its residents safe.
