A curious little girl with a worried look on her face went up to her mother. “Mummy, something strange happened while you were at work,” she said.
“Not now, dear,” her mother said, still working in the kitchen. We should talk about it when Daddy gets home.
When Daddy got there, the girl told him her story again. “Dad told me to stay downstairs, but I went with them.” At the top of the stairs, I saw them kissing and hugging each other.
Mama’s eyes got narrow, and with a stern look, she told Daddy to be quiet. “Don’t say anything. I have to talk to my lawyer in the morning.” “Go on, dear.”
The girl kept going, not realizing how tense things were getting. “They locked the door to your room, but I saw what was behind the lock. They kissed and hugged each other more, took off their clothes, and then…”
Mummy was too interested to stay calm. “And then what happened?”
The little girl’s tone of innocence didn’t change. “They did what you and Uncle Jack did when Daddy was in Vancouver last year.”
The room went quiet, and Mummy’s face went from being suspicious to shocked and amused. Everyone was stunned when the little girl’s words turned the tables in a way that no one saw coming.
