Even after all the years I’ve lived, there are still things about dogs and their people that surprise me.
I didn’t always know that neglecting a puppy could be bad for both their mental and physical health.
And the dog in this story has had a lot of problems because he wasn’t cared for, but things were getting better for him.
Years of Poor Care
But soon after, he realized it was a seriously matted dog that had been ignored for years and needed help badly.
The kind person called for help, and soon people were on their way to the spot to figure out how they could help the poor dog.
When they got to the scene, they were shocked by how this dog looked and found out that he had never even been to the groomer. That’s how fuzzy he was.
He must have been tortured, hurt, and ignored for a very long time. I can’t even begin to think. It makes me sick that someone would do something like this.
They took this dog, who they now called Charlie, into their car and back to the shelter to help him because they could do something about it.
They were not going to give up on this sweet dog now that they had saved him. After he got settled in, it was time for him to get groomed.
Charlie has a whole new look.
Everyone who saw his hair was shocked by how long it was and how big it was.
That wasn’t something that could be thought about anymore, though. His protectors took him to a groomer, who was able to get rid of all of his thick fur.
The woman was shocked when she saw how much fur was on the floor. It hurt to look at it at all.
Charlie looked like a totally different dog now. You couldn’t even tell who he was before, and you could see the relief on his face.
He felt like the weight of the world had been taken off of him. He could finally live a normal life.
He still needed a nice, warm bath and a checkup with the vet after his groomer visit was over.
He felt good to be clean again, and after the bath he went to sleep right away. Any trouble that wasn’t taken care of was taken care of at the doctor.
Charlie was fine and looked like a sweet dog. He will soon be looking for a new family to love and care for him.
