Promotion announcements don’t usually involve dance breaks—unless you’re Officer Ryan Tillman. The Don Lugo High School resource officer turned his goodbye into a viral moment of connection, trading his usual patrol for the center of the dance floor.
“I didn’t want to just disappear,” said Tillman, who had grown unexpectedly attached to the students during his year-and-a-half assignment. His solution? A surprise performance with the school’s dance team that left students cheering and cameras flashing.
