The accident occurred on October 7, 2022, when a speeding Chevy Tahoe struck Scarlett, her two-year-old brother Henry, and their grandmother in their private driveway in Oldtown, Idaho. Scarlett died instantly, while Henry and their grandmother suffered severe injuries. The driver fled but was later caught and sentenced to ten years in prison.
