Tina Turner’s Son Arrested for Drug Possession Before Her Passing

Just 18 days before Tina Turner’s passing, her son Ike Turner Jr. was arrested in Texas for suspected drug possession and evidence tampering.

The 64-year-old was found with methamphetamine and crack cocaine in his possession and allegedly tried to consume the drugs to hide them from police.

Turner Jr.’s arrest is a tragic turn of events, especially given his father Ike Turner Sr.’s struggles with substance abuse. Ike Turner Sr. had multiple run-ins with the law for drug-related charges and died of a cocaine overdose in 2007.

Tina Turner, who passed away on May 24 at 83, had a strained relationship with her children, particularly after moving to Switzerland. Her son’s arrest and her own health struggles, including a kidney transplant in 2017, make this a difficult time for the Turner family.

Ike Turner Jr. remains in Brazoria County Jail with a $70,000 bail. His passenger, Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, is also facing drug possession charges.

The struggles of the Turner family are a reminder of the challenges faced by many families dealing with addiction and health issues. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time. Share this update with fellow Tina Turner fans to keep them informed.
