When Drama in the Neighborhood Meets Creative Revenge

Share

After my spoiled neighbor Annabelle threw trash into my house, I decided to make things right. Little did I know that I would become the talk of the town. People in our once-peaceful neighborhood called me “The Godfather” because of how badly I got back at them.

As a military spouse with two young kids and three pets, I thought we had found the right place to live. Annabelle had other ideas, though.

When I woke up on trash day, our clean patio had been turned into a dumpster. There was so much smell that it made me angry.

I came up with a plan after proving Annabelle’s crime. I made a “bouquet” of surprises by collecting pet waste from neighbors who were ready to help.

I led a group of people who supported me to Annabelle’s well-kept yard and rang the doorbell. Her pride wasn’t going to stop my imaginative revenge.

“I brought you a housewarming gift,” I told her as I threw the bags of dog waste into her spotless hallway.

The beautiful house Annabelle owned turned into a field, which made her eyes grow bigger.

I told them, “Clean up your own mess.” “If you pull this stunt again, I’ll redecorate your car and windows with dung.”

My neighbors cheered, and Annabelle backed away, feeling ashamed.

The dynamics of the society changed. Annabelle stayed quiet while I became the hero who overthrew the local dictator.

Mr. Peterson joked at a dinner party in the neighborhood, “Just bring yourself, Kristie.” Do not bring the “special fertilizer” with you.

When laughter broke out, I knew I belonged with these nice people.

To get people to work together, you need to be creative sometimes.

What I Learned:

Protect yourself and your family.

Help from the community can be very powerful.

Creative payback can work, but be careful how you use it.

Please share your own crazy neighbor stories and how you dealt with them. You never know, you might start the next movement in your neighborhood!
