Royal Rift: How Prince Harry Feels About His Brother’s New Title

A recent choice made by King Charles III has Prince Harry in a state of shock. It is said that the Duke of Sussex is “in tears” after learning that his older brother, Prince William, has been given a high military title that Harry used to hold.

Prince William was given the rank of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, which led to a lot of talk about when and why the change was made. Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, thinks that Prince Harry is heartbroken and feels left out and betrayed by his family.

“Harry’s reaction is understandable, given his deep affection for the military and his pride in serving as Colonel-in-Chief,” he said. “Handing this title to Prince William, whom Harry sees as a source of his problems, is a harsh blow.”

The fact that Prince Harry misses his time in the service makes his feelings even stronger. During his ten years of service, which included two trips in Afghanistan, he was happy and praised for his accomplishments as a person, not as a royal.

As May 13, 2024, gets closer, the day when the title changes hands, Prince Harry is said to be “being cut loose” from his old life. He is, however, fighting back against being pushed out. At the 10th anniversary service of the Invictus Games Foundation, Harry wore his KCVO Neck Order and Star, which was given to him by Queen Elizabeth II as a sign of his long-lasting ties to the royal family.

Royal author Tom Quinn thinks that Harry was trying to show his family how much he is valued and that his grandmother appreciated what he had done.

People have reacted with sympathy and anger, criticizing the King for putting his duties as king ahead of his relationship with his son.

Even though things are getting worse, Prince Harry’s dedication to the Armed Forces will never change. His ten years of service and ongoing support for soldiers show how important this part of his life was to him.

The world is interested in the complicated relationships in the royal family and Prince Harry’s mental journey. Whatever happens, one thing is clear: the ties that used to be strong between Prince Harry and his family are now weak and broken.
