The Royal Departure: Find Out What Really Happened When Harry and Meghan Left

Four years have passed since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked everyone by leaving the Royal Family. At first, they wanted to live a quiet life, but their latest actions have made people wonder what their real goals were.

The Sussexes have talked about their life as royalty in many interviews, TV appearances, and a “tell-all” book, which seems to have erased their link to the British monarchy. But why did they really decide to leave?

A shocking turn of events was revealed by royal expert Andrew Morton: a single photo was the “final straw” for the pair. The picture, which was taken in 2016, shows Queen Elizabeth II, Charles, William, and young George. It’s a moving look at the future of the kingdom.

Morton says that when a similar picture came out two years later, Harry and Meghan felt “snubbed” and thought there was a plot against them. They left because they felt left out and thought there was a plan to put them in the background.

Morton says it’s interesting that the couple thought about leaving the royal life as early as six months after their wedding. In 2018, Harry even talked to Oprah Winfrey about possible new paths.

A lot of things, both public and private, went into Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave. One thing is clear: the Sussexes did not make the choice to leave the Royal Family without giving it a lot of thought.
