Richard Gere is closing the curtain on his American chapter. The iconic actor, beloved for films like An Officer and a Gentleman and Arbitrage, is packing up his life and moving to Spain with his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their two boys.
The decision, Gere says, was years in the making. “I’ve spent my career in the U.S., but my heart is leading me elsewhere now,” he shared. “Spain feels like home in a way Hollywood never did.”
Gere, who married Silva in 2018, praised Spain’s vibrant culture and tight-knit family values. “There’s a warmth there that’s hard to replicate,” he said. “I want my kids to grow up surrounded by that joy.”
