Dream homes shouldn’t come with nightmare neighbors. Unfortunately, no one told Tammy that.
From the moment we moved in, she claimed rights to our backyard despite clear property lines. “That’s how it’s always been,” she’d say, as if tradition overruled legal documents. We thought she was harmless until we came home to find her hosting a full-blown event on our lawn.
When we objected, she treated us like party crashers. Her intoxicated guests harassed us to use our bathroom, claiming Tammy gave permission. That was our breaking point.
We transformed our property with a tall privacy fence and luxury outdoor living space. Tammy’s meltdown was immediate and spectacular – police calls, screaming matches, even getting her boyfriend arrested for trespassing when he tried to intimidate us.
The petty revenge that followed (loud music, trash throwing) was exhausting. Then destiny intervened – her rental went up for sale. Buying that property and delivering Tammy’s eviction notice was more satisfying than I can describe. Her shocked face was worth every penny.
Now, as we relax in our peaceful backyard, we’re carefully selecting new tenants who understand basic boundaries. Sometimes life gives you exactly the revenge you need – you just have to wait for the right opportunity to present itself.
