The terrible flames in Los Angeles destroyed more than 1,000 homes and over 15,000 acres of land. Some of the worst hit areas are the high-end neighbourhoods of Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Santa Monica, where the homes of several famous people have been destroyed.
Anna Faris’s $5 million home in Pacific Palisades is one of many famous homes that have been destroyed by the fires. Faris bought the property in 2018, but it has been totally destroyed. Heartbreaking pictures show the house being burned to the ground.
The $6.5 million home that Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, who are married, lost has also been sold. The couple bought a modern home with five bedrooms and six bathrooms in 2019. It was said to have “impeccable” design and “breathtaking ocean views.” Still, it’s in bad shape now; the roof is caved in and the walls are burned.
Since the fires started on January 7, more than 30,000 people have had to leave their homes, including a number of famous people who have been left without a place to live. Governor Gavin Newsom of California has declared a state of emergency, and firemen are working hard to keep the damage under control.
As it becomes clear how bad the damage really is, a lot of famous people have taken to social media to talk about their experiences and thank the firemen for being so brave. It’s thought that reality TV star Paris Hilton’s family’s Malibu home burned down. She called the experience “overwhelming” but was thankful that her family and pets are safe.
