Need Help? Here’s How I Saved My Mom from a Horrible Honeymoon

I will always remember the day my mom called me from her vacation and begged me to help her. When she married Greg, I was so happy for her because I thought he would make her happy again. But when I heard her scared voice on the phone, I knew something very bad was going on.

Greg took his whole family on their honeymoon, and he was planning for my mom to watch his grandchildren. What I heard made no sense to me. Who does that? I got really mad at myself for not being able to protect my mom. I knew I had to move quickly.

After getting up early the next morning, I was ready to fight Greg and his family. I was set on ending this stupid situation and getting my mom back home. I saw Greg relaxing by the pool with his adult children as I walked into the pool area. My mom wasn’t around, but I knew she was probably taking care of the kids.

To get my point across, I chose to be emotional. I stormed up to Greg while wearing a bright pink sun hat for kids, a bib, and a pacifier. “Daddy!” I yelled out loud enough for everyone to hear. “Where is Mom?” “Give me my juice box!” Greg had the most beautiful look on his face.

I quickly went over to his grown children and introduced myself. “Hey everyone! Hi, my name is Kayla and I’m Greg’s other child. “The one he forgot to tell you about when he turned my mom into a babysitter and invited everyone else to her honeymoon.” They looked at me with shock and shame on their faces.

When my mom showed up, she was holding a crying child on her hip and looked worn out. I gave the child back to one of Greg’s kids after taking it from her. I told them, “Here you go.” “I think this one belongs to you.” You shouldn’t give your kids to a woman you barely know. Instead, you should take care of your own.

Greg tried to explain himself, but I wouldn’t let him. I told him, “You’re treating my mom like a nanny, not a partner.” “She didn’t agree to babysit on her honeymoon.” I think I know everything I need to know about you just by the fact that you thought this was okay.

Greg’s family said sorry at the end of the scene, and my mom finally stood up for herself. Greg and his family stayed at the lodge while we left with our bags. When we got home, my mom thanked me for keeping her from having that bad dream. I told her she didn’t need to thank me because I had already done so much for her.

Finally, my mom stopped Greg’s number and began looking into getting the marriage dissolved. Greg’s kids stopped talking to him, and he was left to figure out what went wrong. I was glad that my mom was finally out of that bad situation and thankful that she had called me for help.
