Even though there is a lot of scientific proof, people are still arguing about the shape of the Earth. A recent movie from space shared by an astronaut shows that the Earth is round after all.
The astronaut waves at the camera in the TikTok video before flipping it over to show how the Earth is curved. The video makes a strong case against the idea that the Earth is flat. Someone said, “Someone said the Earth was flat.”
This is not the only proof that the Earth is shaped like this. Images of Earth taken from space have been collected and stored by NASA for almost twenty years.
The picture shows Earth as a pretty blue and white sphere. Charlie Bolden, a former astronaut, said, “This first DSCOVR image of our planet highlights the benefits of Earth observation from space.” He was referring to DSCOVR’s observations.
SAGE III, a science tool that keeps track of atmospheric data, gives us more proof of the shape of the Earth. Its pictures, taken from the side, give a view like watching a sunset and add to the evidence against the idea that the Earth is flat.
Even though there is a lot of proof against it, the flat Earth theory still stands. Many times, science and other experts have shown that this is not true. Atheist Paul M. Sutter says that this opinion comes from a “lack of trust” in professionals.
The famous scientist Professor Brian Cox has also shown that the Earth is not flat. “There is no basis for thinking the world is flat,” he stated. “Greeks measured the Earth’s diameter many years ago.” It’s impossible to understand why anyone would think otherwise.
It’s not really a surprise that the flat Earth argument is still going on. Lack of resources and education can make it hard to understand the deep research and expertise needed in scientific areas. Images from NASA and the astronaut’s movie, on the other hand, make it very clear that the Earth is round.
