According to Maria Sherman of the Associated Press, MLB spokesperson Matt Bourne declined to comment on the incident. During her a cappella rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Globe Life Field, Andress’s voice cracked several times, especially on the higher notes.

At 32, Andress has released two studio albums and written songs for artists like Charli XCX, Fletcher, and Bebe Rexha. She had scheduled live shows in Nashville on July 17 and Denver on July 24, but her representatives informed CNN’s Lisa Respers France that these events have been canceled.

The Home Run Derby, a highlight of MLB All-Star week, took place the night before the All-Star Game. Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Teoscar Hernández narrowly defeated Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. in the final round, with a score of 14-13.

This announcement has garnered considerable attention, highlighting the personal challenges Andress is facing alongside her professional career.
