At the 2024 CMA Awards, George Strait, the famous country music singer, was given the prestigious Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. At the event on November 20, Strait thanked his family and friends from the bottom of his heart, including Norma, his wife of 53 years.

Strait’s son Bubba went to the event with his wife Tamara and their two kids, Jillian and Harvey. Strait was happy to see them and expressed his love for them. In his speech, Strait thanks the CMAs, other artists, and his family in a humble way.

Jamey Johnson and Miranda Lambert, who sang cover versions of Strait’s famous songs, put on amazing shows that night. Strait thanked his late managers, Erv Woosley and Tom Foote, for helping him have such a successful career.

Strait has done more than anyone else. He has won 72 CMAs and been nominated for 83 more. He has won many awards, such as Impact Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year.

Strait has been married to Norma since high school, and their marriage has been very stable. After 50 years of marriage, they had two children, Jennifer Lyn, who died, and George Strait Jr. (Bubba). The Straits started the Jennifer Strait Memorial Foundation after Jennifer’s sad death in 1986.

For example, Bubba has played with Strait and added vocals to a number of songs, just like his father did. He is married to Tamara and has two kids with her. Their names are George “Harvey” Strait III and Jilliann Louise Strait.
