A betrayal by a husband and a redemption for a grandfather

I thought I had reached rock bottom after being married for five years. But I wasn’t ready for the day my husband Logan brought his woman home, made fun of me, and kicked me out.

Our marriage had been having a hard time, especially after we had trouble getting pregnant. Logan drifted off, looking for approval somewhere else. I blamed myself because I didn’t know how much he was lying.

My best friend Lola talked me into going to a jazz club that fateful night to clear my head. I had no idea that Logan would make a big deal out of cheating on me in public. When we saw him with Brenda, a young woman, my whole world fell apart.

When I talked to him about it, I expected him to feel bad. Instead, Logan smiled and told Brenda he loved her, ending our marriage right away. When I got home the next morning, my things were all over the lawn.

Mr. Duncan, Logan’s grandpa, showed up out of the blue and took a look around. His face went from being confused to angry, and he asked in a loud voice, “What’s going on here?” Logan’s reasons didn’t make sense.

He said, “You’re kicking out my favourite granddaughter-in-law for a gold digger? That hurts a lot.” Starting right now, you’re cut off.” Logan’s face turned pale when his grandpa told him he didn’t like him anymore.

As Logan and Brenda ran away, Mr. Duncan turned to me and spoke in a softer voice. “Take this house as yours.” “I’ll take care of the paperwork.” I had tears running down my face.

After some time, Mr. Duncan kept his word. Logan crawled back to me and begged me to help his grandpa when he realised what he had done was wrong. He felt bad about losing his family’s money, not about hurting me.

When I slammed the door behind him, I felt good about telling him, “You made your bed, lie in it!”
