An old man was sitting quietly and eating his meal at a busy truck stop. Suddenly, three big bikes stomped in and gave off an intimidating vibe.
The first biker was rude to the old man and stuck his cigarette in his pie as he walked by. He then laughed and sat down at the bar. The second biker was very bold and spat into the old man’s milk. The third biker joined his friends in making fun of the old man by flipping his plate over.
Slowly putting down his money, getting up, and leaving the diner, the old man did not say a word. As the waiter looked at the guy, one of the bikers said, “Looks like that guy couldn’t handle himself.”
“I’d say he handled himself just fine,” the waitress said with a wry smile. He just drove his 18-wheeler over your three bikes!” The bikers’ grins quickly turned into shock and wonder.
The bikers were stunned and speechless by the old man’s subtle but powerful retaliation. Even though he seemed calm, he was actually very determined, showing that sometimes the quiet ones are the strongest.
People couldn’t help but laugh as word spread about the smart response. Everyone in the restaurant felt better after the old man’s simple but effective answer. He reminded everyone that respect is always the best policy.
The bikers learnt a good lesson about not judging people by how they look in the end. The old man, on the other hand, was known as a strong and fair leader.
